My Timeless Worry

Happy Valentine’s Day

—————————————————————

Shall I chain my claim of thy heart

Onto the shallow corridors of mine

A toll thy soul will fine,

As I shall wither away if we fall apart

Undoubtedly, then the world seek you, thine art

Beseech thee to ponder on our brief intertwine,

Of it’s longevity caught bound on an infinite line

Clocks sought to tick to the hour, marked by radiating sparks

To find myself gleaming at eyes like vines

Faint silhouette, drowned in despair somehow alleviated

God I’m not, to incarcerate such love in fourteen lines

My sanctuary of innocence you have desecrated

Yet these verses loathe the day my heart is lacerated

Timeless I beg for our love to be.

Chris Arias

Write what comes to mind, and in the format that best fits it. Mostly non-fiction because the topics are the most tangible. Fiction is my weak point due to having to construct complete character. My works are more of analysing because I’m a passive person, let the world move about me while I sit and glaze into its turning clockwork.
