Upcoming Assignments/Due Dates:

• Gemini Fiction Contest due March 31, 2012 (extra credit for entering, costs $4). CC Ms. Betances (cbetances@dadeschools.net) on your e-mail entry.
• Download the NOVEMBER/DECEMBER Calendar and keep in your binder. Remember, it is YOUR responsibility to keep informed of all due dates and deadlines.
• Download the 2011-2012 Staff Manual. You need to be sure that you have read the manually fully and that you understand its contents. Please bring in the signature page (which was given in class on blue paper)

Important Forms and Information:

• 2011-2012 Advertising Contract: Remember to ask local businesses- places like your doctor, the man that repiars something in your house, your parents’ dry cleaners, friends and family. Also, remember that you must sell $150 in advertisments to be elligible for field trips. You will be given a financial obligation if you do not complete your AD requirement.
• Catharsis Staff Writing Evaluation Sheet: This form must be printed and attached to all drafts of your writing.
• CSPA Magazine Fundamentals Vocabulary List (Short Version): This is the list of terms that you are expected to know for this class. Keep this in your binder!
